Train Hard With A Garmin

An important part of any athlete's training program is the recording and monitoring of process in order to determine when gains are being made or progress is slipping. A Garmin monitor is one of the best tools for the task. The Garmin 910XT is a GPS monitor that is loaded with enough features to keep even the most particular athlete inundated with workout information. I certainly was not disappointed with my purchase of the latest Garmin 910XT.

As a GPS monitor that is the size of a normal wristwatch, the Garmin monitor is cutting edge in features. One of the most useful features for improving performance is the Virtual Racer tool which plots previous routes. The display will show how far along you were at a particular time in a previous session and where you are at the moment. That allows you to follow your previous best time pace and no when you are lagging behind and need to up the pace some. It is a great feature that really keeps me excited about running and I am always looking forward to setting a new personal best time. Of course, the unit can also be used for other sports such as bicycling or swimming.

The Garmin heart rate monitor can watch your vitals just as easily as it can monitor the distances covered during a workout. If you get within the range of a Mac or PC the unit is capable of wireless data uploads in order to use software to track and monitor workout performance. The Garmin heart rate monitor Connect software program can plot data points in graphs across various different metrics. Easily document and share your workout data with others.

Bicyclists can train hard with an accessory ANT+ power meter that will interface with the Garmin unit. A pedal-based power meter can be used to calculate the precise output of your biking performance. Using such a power meter can allow one to see the full pedal stroke force profile. This addition allows for monitoring of power and cadence in both legs separately. The Garmin Vector is one such compatible accessory.

There really is no reason for any serious athlete not to own a Garmin monitor as it is certainly one of the best ways to take training to the next level. If you are serious about improvements then the cost of a Garmin is reasonable with respect to the gains that will be made.

Squash Equipment for You!

Squash is one of the fastest growing games in the US. And, in my opinion, it's one of the best games that you can play. It is the best exercise that you can get playing a game. Squash descended from at least five different games including tennis, racquetball, and hand ball. Racquets is considered to be the direct parent game for Squash. It has been played since the middle of the 1800's. Like Squash it is also played by using a racquet and by bouncing the ball against a wall with either two or four players.

But in order to play you will need squash equipment like squash racquets, squash balls, squash goggles, and squash shoes. The best way to purchase squash equipment is from a squash pro shop. They are very easy to find on the web. All you have to do is type in a term relating to the game like squash balls or squash pro shop and dozens of websites will pop all offering you awesome deals to buy your equipment.

Squash has certain specialized equipment like squash goggles and squash shoes to help improve your game. Squash shoes help players to better grip wood floors that might otherwise be slick and easily slipped on, not only does this help you move but protects your ankles. They are very similar to specialized shoes like tennis shoes or cleat shoes used in soccer.

Squash goggles are used by some players to help protect their eyes from the fast moving balls that often bounce off of a wall heading towards the face. This is especially dangerous as they can land in an eye bruising it, or even causing blindness. This makes goggles very useful to players, especially children or people just beginning to learn how to play the game and may not have as quick of a reaction time.

Squash was once called squash racquets in order to describe the squashable rubber squash balls that it is played with. The name changed though as it became more popular among the general public. Today the game is so popular that it is in contention to become an Olympic sport in 2016 at the Rio de Janeiro in Brazil thanks to the success of the squash pro tour.

Volkl Organix 10 295G Tennis Racquet Is Light & Controllable

Have you been searching for a lighter tennis racquet? The Volkl Organix tennis racquet is the perfect solution. The Volkl racquet offers a much lighter frame than the older versions yet it’s actually more controllable. This makes it ideal for the advanced tournament player as well as players looking to enhance precision to their strokes.

The Volkl Organix racquet delivers cutting edge architecture. It embraces a combination of strength and flexibility with exceptional stability. Featuring a Bio Sensor handle system coupled with a 98 head-size and 20mm beam, the Volkl racquet provides a more control-oriented frame. Furthermore, this racquet offers a dense 16x19 stringing pattern for advanced driving power and an exceptional spin.

The frame is constructed with carbon nanotubes, which makes it extremely strong and provides a reinforced structure. Additionally, the frame has natural cellulose fibers instilled in the racquets construction for more control at the baseline and net. With high-tech architecture the ultimate Volkl racquet gives more control along with sharp angle shots.

Some of the many other features of the Volkl Organix tennis racquet include:
• Length: 68.5 cm/27in

Therefore, the Volkl Organix may not be designed for ultra-power boosts.

In conclusion, the Volkl Organix tennis racquet is best suited to the intermediate to advanced player who likes a lighter frame as well as more control. With an advanced aerodynamic frame your ball will move effortlessly through the air and it has an ideal architecture that offers sharp angle shots and an outstanding spin. I absolutely love tennis. Whether it is a friendly game for recreational purposes or a competitive tournament, tennis always makes me happy. It is simply a great sport to play. Tennis is a great workout and really burns calories. It works out your legs, arms and core all at the same time.

I remember when I played my first game. It was such an exciting moment and very competitive. However, I had only been playing for a few years and my racket was not very good. At that time, I didn’t understand that a good racket could make or break your tennis game. In other words, in order to be a great player, you need a great racket. Now my racket of choice is the Babolat Pure Drive GT.

The Babolat Pure Drive tennis racket is one of the best, if not the best on the market. This racket is revolutionary and every tennis player should have one. The Babolat racket has an extremely solid and stable feel due to the graphite and tungsten, which helps you hit the ball with power and ease. Combined with a great stroke, these superb Babolat rackets can help you win a game of tennis. The graphite and tungsten also provides a more solid response. I can’t say enough great things about this racket, except that I think it’s absolutely amazing. The feel of it in my hand is great and so is the response after hitting the ball. This racket provides power and control from the baseline, in addition it’s extremely versatile. The Babolat racket is also great for serving.

Whether you are a professional or just started taking tennis lessons this is a great tennis racket to have; and, if you want to play like the pros, you should have a great racket.

Asics Squash Shoes, the Best Squash Shoes

The best squash shoes will always be designed for indoor court use. Most, if not all, squash courts will insist that you wear shoes with non-marking soles. All the good squash shoes will conform to this prerequisite; they are made of gum rubber and designed to be gentle on the court. The Asics squash shoes provide really good traction and are pretty comfortable for wearing. Not as heavy on the feet as some other shoes. I am actually on my third pair of Asics squash shoes.

I'd tried several brands before the Asics squash shoes, but wasn't comfortable with any of the others. I wear Asics running shoes, so I might be a bit biased, but I am completely satisfied with the squash shoes Asics makes. Harrow squash and Hi-tec squash were fine for a little while, before I was referred to the brand that I wear now.

Only once did I try to play squash in regular running shoes, they made my feet swell after wearing them for a couple of hours, so it's isn't a good idea to wear those for a long period of time. I also tried a pair of regular tennis shoes, but after only a couple of months of wearing them, I noticed that the rubber started to peel from around the sole of the shoe. So, finally, I gave in and tried the Asics squash shoe, which I have loved from the first moment I played in them. So far, they haven’t offered me a moment of trouble.

Because squash has a history of being the combination of at least five other sports, I never dreamed I would have to go through that many pairs of shoes to play it. Squash is a very exhilarating sport played between 2 to 4 players in a four walled court using a rubber ball. The sport has been around for ages and has become my primary source of exercise. I’ve lost 20 pounds since I started playing, it burns so many calories. It's also really good to relieve stress and releases tension and anger.

Squash is almost like playing tennis but offers a different form of the sport, and you can play all year long. You can play squash with several variations such as hardball singles and doubles or squash tennis.

It’s a great game, and I love. Just, please, wear the right shoes. You won’t regret it!
